Good Friend Electric has been shipping customers’ products, safely and quickly, since 1937. For any questions about shipping, call 732.349.4100 and ask for Online Service.

FREE SHIPPING PROMOTION
Your order will be shipped at no charge, if sent via Standard UPS Ground Service to the lower 48 United States, and your order item total is greater than $299.

How much does the Shipping cost?
It's as simple as adding items to your shopping cart, going to your cart screen, and entering your zip code. This price is for orders with all items shipped via Standard UPS ground, to one location in the 48 lower United States. If due to size and/or weight an alternative ship method must be used, you'll be contacted for approval of any other charges that may apply, BEFORE the order is processed.

What if I want my order delivered outside the lower 48 United States?
For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico, you'll be charged the actual shipping costs. Please call our Online Services at 732.349.4100 for a shipping quote to these areas. We're currently not shipping to Canada, Mexico, or other international destinations.

What if any item is too large or heavy for UPS Ground?
Items that are too big to ship via Standard UPS Ground Service, will need to ship via Common Carrier Services truck or freight lines, and may incur a $75 surcharge. If this is the case and a surcharge will apply, you'll be contacted for your approval BEFORE the order is processed.

What if my order is shipped by Truck Freight?
Items shipped via truck freight are delivered to curbside or driveway only. Most carriers will contact you to set up a delivery time, usually a 2-4 hour appointment window during business hours. As such, it is the customer's responsibility to provide an accurate contact phone number for the delivery address.

If you require special assistance with a Truck Freight delivery, additional services like inside delivery and lift gate are available at an additional charge. Please contact Online Services at 732.349.4100 to get a quote on these services.

At the time of delivery, the driver will require that you inspect the condition of the shipment and sign the delivery receipt. Be sure to note on the receipt ANY and ALL visible damage to the packaging of your item(s). Noting the condition of the delivery is the sole responsibility of the customer, and not the driver.

If the carrier is unable to contact the customer, the customer will then be responsible for any storage fees or freight charges back to the shipper. See our Return Policies for full details.

Good Friend Electric Delivery
Good Friend Electric will deliver merchandise free of charge to customers within our local delivery area. Delivery by our store will be scheduled by appointment only. Good Friend Electric delivery does not include inside delivery or any installation services.

Pickup at any Good Friend Electric Store
You may choose to pick up your online purchase, at one of our 6 Good Friend Electric Lighting Showrooms. If you wish to pick up your purchase, we will contact you via phone or email when your order is ready.

Shipping Lead Times
Good Friend Electric strives to provide its customers with the most accurate information on product availability. The posted lead times are estimates based on the assumption that the item is currently in stock with the manufacturer.

If your purchase or project is time sensitive, it is strongly suggested that you call 732.349.4100, and ask for Online Services, to inquire about expedited shipping. Good Friend Electric is not responsible for any costs associated with shipment delays.

We strongly suggest hiring a licensed electrical contractor for all lighting installations.

We also suggest that those professional services not be scheduled for installation appointments until your order has fully arrived and been inspected
